Otso Airisto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Hermínio Gerber when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Jacarau SS's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Salgado came free, but Hermínio Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zetha F.C's André Vianna got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Sidney Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermínio Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Zetha F.C were awarded a corner. Otso Airisto went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Zetha F.C's Otso Airisto to fire away a dangerous shot which Hermínio Gerber despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Armandinho Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurício Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Vergílio in the 23rd minute of the match. Zetha F.C's Maurício Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Costa in the 32nd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otso Airisto to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Jacarau SS booed when Zetha F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Rodrigo de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Norberto Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Hermínio Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Zetha F.C getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Róbson Maciel hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Sidney Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Sidney Costa sent off a good shot on target. Vivaldo da Cunha's late challenge caught a Zetha F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vivaldo da Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. Vivaldo da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Jacarau SS's Abel Freitas got a free kick in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jacarau SS's zone, Didi Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio Gerber came out of the goal and Didi Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermínio Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otso Airisto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermínio Gerber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otso Airisto's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Maurício Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Costa in the 95th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Zetha F.C got a freekick which was hit by André Vianna.
