Yuri Messias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 minutes of play, Fresno de Pelotas FC's Yuri Messias made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hernani Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yuri Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Haroldo Ignado notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Gomalina's Hernani Azevedo. Hernani Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Gomalina's zone, Bernardo Perazzolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernani Azevedo came out of the goal and Bernardo Perazzolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Fresno de Pelotas FC's Agenor Dias got a free kick in the 41st minute. Yuri Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Messias struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Hernani Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fresno de Pelotas FC. In the 47th minute, Reginaldo Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caio Tróia was the one to do the kick off. Yuri Messias in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hernani Azevedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Yuri Messias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernani Azevedo having to make a save. Fresno de Pelotas FC's Bernardo Perazzolo got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rony Mangueira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Yuri Messias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernani Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Haroldo Ignado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Fresno de Pelotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Diniz came free, but Duarte Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Fresno de Pelotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Tróia came free, but Duarte Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Fresno de Pelotas FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gomalina.
