With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Thiago Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. In the 79th minute, Perivaldo Saldanha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duarte Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Haroldo Ignado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Duarte Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Saldanha in the 91st minute of play. Thiago Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Duarte Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fresno de Pelotas FC's Duarte Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Fresno de Pelotas FC from getting a goal against them. Thiago Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Seterma's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
