In the 27th minute Caio Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Ignado might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernani Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Ignado ran back to his position shaking his head. Yuri Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Messias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernani Azevedo having to make a save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yuri Messias to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee showed Reginaldo Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
