Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wiliam Moura started the match with the kick off. If Elói de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Bueno came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Cataguases's Noel Branco. But to his dismay, Noel Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Romero in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cícero Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Tambaqui getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Samuel Mello hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Cataguases's Didi Alvarenga broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Chiquinho Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Patrick Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Wiliam Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Rossi having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Chiquinho Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cataguases and the Tambaqui players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cataguases's Chiquinho Toledo got a free kick in the 26th minute. The supporters of Cataguases booed when Tambaqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cataguases getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Evandro Peixoto hit a great ball. Sandro Romero in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cícero Rossi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Tambaqui's Wiliam Moura in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cataguases's goalie prevented a goal. Cícero Rossi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wiliam Moura showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 39 minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Wiliam Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tambaqui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Noel Branco made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Tambaqui's Patrick Bueno got control of the ball when Elói de Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Samuel Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Noel Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cataguases's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Tambaqui's Sandro Romero got a free kick in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Tambaqui's goalkeeper Patrick Bueno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elói de Andrade. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Sandro Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tambaqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Tambaqui's Sandro Romero in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cataguases's goalie prevented a goal. After 70 minutes, Dráuzio Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cataguases and the Tambaqui players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dráuzio Campidelis hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Sandro Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Rossi having to interfere. Cataguases's Cícero Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Romero in the 77th minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Wiliam Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cataguases's Cícero Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wiliam Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Wiliam Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Cataguases's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Romero came free, but Cícero Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
