Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wilton Schmidt started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Wilton Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imprensa's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glauco Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisinho Brasil got free with Glauco Peixoto in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the game, Luisão Prado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curitibanos AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imprensa the free kick. In the 9th minute, Luisão Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Imprensa's Michel Vale tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A hard shot by Dráusio Pimenta from long distance, 13 minutes into the match, got Glauco Peixoto's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Curitibanos AD getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dino Madureira hit a great ball. Wilton Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibúrcio de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Curitibanos AD's Glauco Peixoto got control of the ball when Luisinho Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Luisinho Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses de Amaral in the 27th minute of play. Luisinho Brasil succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 31st playminute. In the 35th minute Wilton Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisinho Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Curitibanos AD's goalkeeper Glauco Peixoto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luisinho Brasil. After a defensive mix-up in Curitibanos AD's zone, Luisinho Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Peixoto came out of the goal and Luisinho Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tibúrcio de Brito made the kick off in the second half. Glauco Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilton Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After some careless play in the Curitibanos AD defense, Luisinho Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Glauco Peixoto. The Curitibanos AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Glauco Peixoto should have stopped the shot. In the 57th minute Luisinho Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Imprensa's David Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Imprensa from getting a goal against them. Ulisses de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. David Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Imprensa got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Corrêa. After a rather tough play, Curitibanos AD's Luisão Prado got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Michel Vale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Glauco Peixoto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Wilton Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curitibanos AD's Glauco Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Brasil in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Curitibanos AD getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dário Trigo hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Luisinho Brasil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Glauco Peixoto. Curitibanos AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisinho Brasil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When Imprensa's Wilton Schmidt in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curitibanos AD's goalie prevented a goal. If Wilton Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dino Madureira during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Curitibanos AD getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Dino Madureira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Schmidt in the 91st minute of play forced Curitibanos AD's goalkeeper Glauco Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
