In a very dangerous position, a player in Tibaia EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Charles Pitta had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Kauã Prata's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Timorande getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Delfim Teixeira hit a great ball. André Luiz Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Fontes in the 44th minute of play. When José Romero came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tibaia EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Romero couldn't finish the play. After 47 played minutes Timorande got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Alves. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelinho Simões stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
