After a rather tough play, Morretes's Roberto Rossi got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Cláudio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Paragua booed when Morretes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Veloso during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Morretes got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Veloso. In the 19th minute Dedê Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cacá Hames received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Décio Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Silva in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Dedê Moreira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cláudio Cearense, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duarte Silva got free with Cláudio Cearense in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Duarte Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Cearense made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Duarte Silva sent off a good shot on target. After 42 played minutes Morretes got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Veloso. Dedê Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Cearense having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Paragua's Dedê Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cláudio Cearense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cacá Hames to strike the kick off in the second half. Allan Martins lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 52 minutes into the game, one of Morretes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Morretes:s Cláudio Cearense showed great skill when he stopped Eusébio Berger:s penalty. 57 minutes into the match, Paragua's Dedê Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cláudio Cearense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cláudio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Custódio Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Duarte Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Cearense was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 67th play minute Almir Lara came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Décio Luz. 1-2. Alexandre Pinho succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Dedê Moreira struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Cláudio Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paragua. If Custódio Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Morretes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Cláudio Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dedê Moreira went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Silva in the 86th minute of play forced Morretes's goalkeeper Cláudio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Pinho went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. If Duarte Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Moreira in the 99th minute of play forced Morretes's goalkeeper Cláudio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paragua's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
