Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Guaíba FC's Juarês Leme started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Montenegro in the 10th minute of play forced Guaíba FC's goalkeeper Renan Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juarês Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, Guaíba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Leme to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Brejauba SS booed when Guaíba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dino Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dino Monteiro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan Vaz saved Guaíba FC from getting behind. In the 42nd minute, Dino Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dino Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Vaz having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dino Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Brejauba SS's Rafael Prestes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Renan Vaz. Renan Vaz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Renan Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dino Monteiro in the 56th minute. Adelino Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Renan Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Monteiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Renan Vaz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Renan Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Prestes in the 95th minute of play. Brejauba SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
