Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Noel Quadros took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ricardo Duarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedrinho Moraes in the 3rd minute. Claudinho de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Inácio Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ricardo Duarte made a huge save. Ricardo Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Quadros in the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Aripibu's zone, Marcelinho Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Senna came out of the goal and Marcelinho Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Marcelinho Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferroviária SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 24 minutes, José Romero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aripibu and the Ferroviária SA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Aripibu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Romero to maneuver through the defense. Claudinho de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Inácio Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Luís Tinoco during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Pedrinho Moraes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Inácio Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho de Barros in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Aripibu getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Felippe Paraibano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Aripibu's zone, Marcelinho Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Senna came out of the goal and Marcelinho Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinho de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Senna having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho de Barros was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Aripibu got a freekick which was hit by José Romero. Claudinho de Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inácio Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho de Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62ndth minute of the game Pedrinho Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ferroviária SA's Ricardo Duarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 63 played minutes Ferroviária SA got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Tinoco. Noel Quadros struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ricardo Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aripibu. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Noel Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aripibu's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th match minute, Aripibu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felippe Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Quadros in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aripibu's goalkeeper Inácio Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dé Andrade during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes Ferroviária SA got a freekick which was hit by Dé Andrade. Inácio Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho de Barros in the 95th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aripibu had won after a very even match.
