Jailson de Lima was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Iluminados Fc's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Teodoro Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademar Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego de Azevedo in the 6th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Eusébio Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Contracto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iluminados Fc the free kick. 15 minutes into the match, Iluminados Fc's Teodoro Aguiar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dênis Cosme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Maranhense in the 20th minute of play forced Iluminados Fc's goalkeeper Ademar Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ademar Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego de Azevedo in the 22nd minute of the match. Diego de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Bertassi having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Jailson de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iluminados Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jailson de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iluminados Fc's Ademar Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego de Azevedo in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Renato Eger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Contracto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iluminados Fc the free kick. Eusébio Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ademar Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iluminados Fc's Teodoro Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jailson de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dênis Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Contracto's Diego de Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ademar Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diego de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ademar Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Iluminados Fc's zone, Diego de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Bertassi came out of the goal and Diego de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
