The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind TORRE FORTE's goalkeeper Emerson Borges, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Motta in the 6th minute of play forced Macaia's goalkeeper Vágner Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renato Barreto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Emerson Borges made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurício Braga in the 12th minute. Vágner Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, João Paulo Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TORRE FORTE the free kick. In the 16th match minute, Macaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. If Doni Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Motta in the 22nd minute of play forced Macaia's goalkeeper Vágner Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Jonas Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Linhares in the 30th minute of play forced Macaia's goalkeeper Vágner Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very good chance for a goal. Jonas Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Emerson Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doni Motta to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, TORRE FORTE's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Braga came free, but Emerson Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TORRE FORTE's Emerson Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Costa in the 58th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, TORRE FORTE's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Costa came free, but Emerson Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilson Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Vágner Trancoso made a huge save. After 66 played minutes Macaia got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Rodrigues. Vágner Trancoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doni Motta's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Emerson Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 91st minute of the match Serginho de Souza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emerson Borges showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emerson Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Macaia getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. João Paulo Rodrigues hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the game, Doni Motta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vágner Trancoso. Doni Motta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. The Macaia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching TORRE FORTE's performance. The match ended with a win for TORRE FORTE.
