Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacinto Simões started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexsandro Alvarenga during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Alexsandro Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Saldanha came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Cristais AD's Hamílton Guerra. But to his dismay, Hamílton Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, La Guardia Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Leme came free, but Leonardo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Simões in the 17th minute of play forced La Guardia Football Club's goalkeeper Leonardo Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Simões struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Leonardo Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cristais AD. 26 minutes into the match, Clóvis Alagoano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of La Guardia Football Club's Leonardo Saldanha. Leonardo Saldanha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leonardo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, La Guardia Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Simões came free, but Leonardo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cristais AD's Rui Terra got a free kick in the 35th minute. Leonardo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felipe Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Hamílton Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cristais AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamílton Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Felipe Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Guardia Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, La Guardia Football Club's goalkeeper Leonardo Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamílton Guerra. The supporters of Cristais AD booed when La Guardia Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamílton Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Leonardo Saldanha made a huge save. Felipe Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Leopoldo de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute Jacinto Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Felipe Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Guardia Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Valladares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leopoldo de Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Alexsandro Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Leopoldo de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Cristais AD got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Guerra. Tadeu Alagoano hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Jacinto Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cristais AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Cristais AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La Guardia Football Club.
