Gilson de Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Amaral made a huge save. Décio Zanette hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Tomasina AD's Rodrigo Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Zanette in the 33rd minute of play. Cordilheira's Osvaldo Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Cordilheira from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute, Marcel Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mazinho Hoffmann made a kick off. Marcel Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilson de Almeida scored 1-5 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldo Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Cordilheira left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tomasina AD.
