Manfredo Amaral made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Dedé Simões sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Murilo Mineiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manfredo Amaral was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Manfredo Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Mineiro in the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jardim's zone, Ademir Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfredo Amaral came out of the goal and Ademir Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dedé Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Cruzeiro Nevense FC were the better team. Cruzeiro Nevense FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
