Jarbas Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Arlindo Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Nicolas Nogueira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Jequiazinho FC's Arlindo Severo. Arlindo Severo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Jarbas Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Quirina SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarbas Gomes couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Décio Arce was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Jarbas Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quirina SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarbas Gomes got free with Arlindo Severo in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arlindo Severo having to make a save. Quirina SC's Gerson Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulysses Nogueira in the 68th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Jequiazinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Guerra. When Décio Arce fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jequiazinho FC's protests and gave Décio Arce a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Jequiazinho FC's Décio Arce got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Jarbas Gomes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quirina SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Jarbas Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quirina SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarbas Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas Nogueira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jarbas Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arlindo Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Nogueira in the 95th minute of the match.
