After 31 played minutes, AlmeidaDoGrau's Lauro da Silveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matías Paes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AlmeidaDoGrau reached it. Juninho Luz's late challenge caught a AlmeidaDoGrau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juninho Luz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Paysandu's Juninho Luz got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Antônio Carlos de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitório Brito hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes AlmeidaDoGrau got a freekick which was hit by Lauro da Silveira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Neto in the 47th minute of play forced AlmeidaDoGrau's goalkeeper Rafael de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Magno Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, AlmeidaDoGrau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, AlmeidaDoGrau's goalkeeper Rafael de Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Borges. In the 57th minute Magno Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Neto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Paysandu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Antônio Koehler took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matías Paes. Matías Paes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rafael de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Neto in the 73rd minute of play. Lauro da Silveira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Matías Paes. Paysandu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Magno Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Paes having to interfere. Paysandu's Matías Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Koehler in the 86th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Paysandu got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos de Amorim. AlmeidaDoGrau's Ronaldo Moreira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Paysandu. AlmeidaDoGrau's Magno Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Rocha in the 95th minute of play forced Paysandu's goalkeeper Matías Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Paysandu players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented AlmeidaDoGrau from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
