Zé Augusto Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liberteide FC. After some careless play in the rondoense defense, Cesinha Macedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Augusto Sena. The rondoense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Augusto Sena should have stopped the shot. After 42 played minutes rondoense got a freekick which was hit by Elias Quirino. Zé Carlos Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes into the match, rondoense's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Sarmento came free, but Zé Augusto Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesinha Macedo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Schmidt in the 53rd minute of play forced rondoense's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Sena was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zé Carlos Andrade showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. If Oséas Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd match minute, rondoense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Meirelles to maneuver through the defense.
