With a little luck, Guarulhos FC's Cícero Alves got control of the ball when Ulisses Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ulisses Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Pequeri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulisses Prestes couldn't finish the play. Cícero Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo de Brito in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero Alves saved Guarulhos FC from getting behind. In the 35th match minute, Pequeri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Prestes to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Guarulhos FC's Cícero Alves got control of the ball when Ulisses Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guarulhos FC were furious when Leandro Pombal was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When Raí Madureira fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Cícero Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erasmo de Brito's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Cícero Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo de Brito in the 67th minute of the match. Ulisses Prestes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cícero Alves having to make a save. The supporters of Pequeri booed when Guarulhos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pequeri had won after a very even match.
