Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jerônimo Lira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Armindo Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Freire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Loureiro couldn't finish the play. Armindo Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 10 minutes, Jerônimo Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerônimo Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Belchior Neto struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Ulysses Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freire. In the 14th minute, Freire's Luiz Fernando Saraiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulysses Trancoso. Paranagi AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerônimo Lira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Paranagi AD's goal looked a bit too open when Belchior Neto came free, but Ulysses Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match, Belchior Neto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulysses Trancoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 36 minutes into the match, Freire's Belchior Neto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulysses Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedrão Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo de Lima in the 43rd minute of play. Paranagi AD's Ulysses Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belchior Neto in the 46th minute of play. Jerônimo Lira struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Ulysses Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freire. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo de Lima made a kick off. Armindo Loureiro hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Anselmo de Lima's late challenge caught a Freire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo de Lima helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Freire booed when Paranagi AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulysses Trancoso came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Freire's Sydney Mendes. But to his dismay, Sydney Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Armindo Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armindo Loureiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Freire getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Armindo Loureiro hit a great ball. Ulysses Trancoso came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Freire's Jerônimo Lira. But to his dismay, Jerônimo Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, Paranagi AD's Anselmo de Lima got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 77 minutes of play, Freire's Belchior Neto made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulysses Trancoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Belchior Neto might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belchior Neto ran back to his position shaking his head. The Freire fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Freire's Jerônimo Lira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ulysses Trancoso came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Freire's Jerônimo Lira. But to his dismay, Jerônimo Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Ulysses Trancoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Belchior Neto went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Freire fully deserved thier win.
