Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Diguinho Rodrigues made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Cururupe EC's Nilton Guimarães got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute Edgar França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, one of Cururupe EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cururupe EC. Cururupe EC:s Evaristo Pernambucano showed great skill when he stopped Valdemar Medeiros:s penalty. 14 minutes into the match, Valdemar Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo Pernambucano. Cururupe EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdemar Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Júlio Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in EC Fut Zone's zone, Cássio Custódio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Neves came out of the goal and Cássio Custódio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júlio Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egídio Proença scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Neves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in EC Fut Zone's zone, Egídio Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Neves came out of the goal and Egídio Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júlio Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nilton Guimarães in the 41st minute. Egídio Proença was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egídio Proença was the one to do the kick off. Egídio Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Diguinho Rodrigues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Evaristo Pernambucano. Diguinho Rodrigues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Júlio Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Diguinho Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 minutes of play, Cururupe EC's Egídio Proença made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, EC Fut Zone's Sidnei Esteves got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar França got free with Evaristo Pernambucano in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, José Pedro Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. In the 89th minute, Egídio Proença made a precise shot to the right of Júlio Neves. EC Fut Zone's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Egídio Proença struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Júlio Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cururupe EC. Egídio Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Neves having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Egídio Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Neves was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cururupe EC had played much better football throughout.
