After a rather tough play, Dragões EC's Fernandão da Rocha got a free kick in the 17th minute. João Pedro Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Pimenta in the 22nd minute of play. Claudinei do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. João Pedro Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Cardozo in the 26th minute of play forced Chiku's goalkeeper Marcos do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pedro Freire came out of the goal and Décio Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oséias Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Pedro Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. When Chiku's Claudinei Pimenta in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dragões EC's goalie prevented a goal. The wind increased when Claudinei Pimenta made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Claudinei do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chiku's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Pedro Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiago Gabriel Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Freire having to interfere. Oséias Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Oséias Messias came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Chiku fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséias Messias couldn't finish the play. João Pedro Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Pimenta in the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Dragões EC defense, Oséias Messias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Pedro Freire. The Dragões EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Pedro Freire should have stopped the shot.
