Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Norberto Breckenfeld kicked off to start the match. If Juarês Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Sarmento hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Paulo Dionísio had several of the Zezeco FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Claudinei Dante as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jaime Mattos struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Edmílson Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zezeco FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Mattos in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmílson Ceresso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, Zezeco FC's Joel Pinho seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joel Pinho the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zezeco FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joel Pinho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 37th minute, one of Zezeco FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zezeco FC. Paulo Dionísio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Gigante's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 47th play minute Paulo Dionísio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Claudinei Dante. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Mattos to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Paulo Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gigante's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Dante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the game, Gigante's Paulo Dionísio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Dante made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Claudinei Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Paulo Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zezeco FC's zone, Paulo Dionísio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Dante came out of the goal and Paulo Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Dante having to interfere. If Felippe Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Mattoss short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Edmílson Ceresso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 82 played minutes Gigante got a freekick which was hit by Simão Sarmento. A collision led to Zezeco FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jaime de Souza hit a great ball. The Gigante fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Gigante's Paulo Dionísio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Claudinei Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Dionísio in the 89th minute of play. After 98 minutes of play, Gigante's Norberto Breckenfeld made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Dante was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gigante had won after a very even match.
