Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Duda Cordeiro made the kick off and thus started the match. When the match clock showed 2 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Orlando de Sena sped through Irapiranga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo da Silva. 7 minutes into the match, JET STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Duda Cordeiro came free, but Rony Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, JET STAR's Adhemar Arantes got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 18th minute Duda Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo da Silva came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by JET STAR's Orlando de Sena. But to his dismay, Orlando de Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 28 minutes into the match, Irapiranga's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Amorim came free, but Leopoldo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rony Cerezo was a little too slow when Duda Cordeiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-2. If Miguel Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando de Sena was the one to do the kick off. Duda Cordeiro scored 3-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rony Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute, Antônio Carlos Dante sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Irapiranga's Leopoldo da Silva didn't even have to move. Leopoldo da Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adhemar Arantes in the 64th minute. Adhemar Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes, Irapiranga's Juarês Mesquita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rony Cerezo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Irapiranga reached it. After having played for 81 minutes, Miguel Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irapiranga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Velloso during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ricardo Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Rubinho Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo da Silva having to interfere. A collision led to Irapiranga getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bruninho Batista hit a great ball. Orlando de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvinho Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. A long shot from Antônio Carlos Dante in the 90th minute of play was well struck, but Leopoldo da Silva made a really good save at the right post.
