Kléber Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Brasil in the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Luís Messias in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeu Dias saved Futebol Clube Piacatu from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Futebol Clube Piacatu's Geovânio Loureiro got a free kick in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Futebol Clube Piacatu's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Messias came free, but Tadeu Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Futebol Clube Piacatu's Genílson Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Remo Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jardel Messias made a kick off. Geovânio Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute.
