Fiori Reis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jerônimo Prata. 1-0. Túlio Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Júlio Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Gaúcho having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Guando was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Iranduba FC's Fiori Reis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guando. The supporters of Guando booed when Iranduba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iranduba FC's Júlio Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Lucas in the 30th minute of play. If Túlio Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Iranduba FC booed when Guando was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Iranduba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Lucas came free, but Júlio Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Lucas in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Túlio Lucas to make the kick off. Nicolas Veloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Júlio Gaúcho made a huge save. If Rogério Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th play minute Túlio Lucas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Júlio Gaúcho. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Iranduba FC's zone, Túlio Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Gaúcho came out of the goal and Túlio Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Túlio Lucas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
