Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Quidombo's Rômulo Furtado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match, Rômulo Furtado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmundo Hoffmann saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. João Pedro Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cipriano Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo Pernambucano having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Batista in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gildo Pernambucano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Marrocos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quidombo:s goal. The goalkeeper, Edmundo Hoffmann, was totally fooled by Quidombo's William Matorin, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cipriano Faria in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gildo Pernambucano saved Quidombo from getting behind. In the 26th match minute, Quidombo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. Gildo Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Batista in the 27th minute of the match. When Rômulo Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Quidombo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo Furtado couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Silvério Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marrocos's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gildo Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Marrocos's Zeca Fonseca got a free kick in the 38th minute. Edmundo Hoffmann acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from William Matorin. Edmundo Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rômulo Furtado in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Quidombo booed when Marrocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Mumbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Quidombo's William Matorin tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Faria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edmundo Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Veloso in the 52nd minute of the match. Cipriano Faria struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Gildo Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marrocos. Edmundo Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Veloso in the 62nd minute of play forced Marrocos's goalkeeper Edmundo Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Marrocos's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Furtado came free, but Edmundo Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Silvério Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pedro Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Silvério Batista made a precise shot to the right of Gildo Pernambucano. Quidombo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Cipriano Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marrocos's Silvério Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
