Rony Correia's late challenge caught a Uruoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Correia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SPORT RECIFE's Rony Correia got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind SPORT RECIFE's goalkeeper Júlio Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Uruoca's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Guimarães came free, but Artur Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
