When Cristiano Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Pune fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Trigo couldn't finish the play. After 39 played minutes Jacata AD got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Peixoto. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jacata AD! Inácio Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, Jacata AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. The Pune players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jacata AD were winning 0-2.

Jacata AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pune the free kick. After 79 played minutes Jacata AD got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Secco. Walmir Veiga in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabrício Moura, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Jacata AD booed when Pune was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley Quirino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. When the final whistle sounded Jacata AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pune.
