Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miraporanga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buritis FC the free kick. After 4 played minutes Buritis FC got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Mazza. Custódio Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jonathan Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13thth minute of the game Abelardo Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miraporanga's Rafinha Bertassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 minutes of play, Buritis FC's Abelardo Damião made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafinha Bertassi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match, Dário Couto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Miraporanga's Rafinha Bertassi. Rafinha Bertassi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 51st minute, Serginho Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Damião in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafinha Bertassi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Custódio Tavares in the 65th minute of play forced Buritis FC's goalkeeper Jonathan Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes, Caetano Ceresso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buritis FC and the Miraporanga players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Miraporanga booed when Buritis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Miraporanga's goalkeeper Rafinha Bertassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafinha Bertassi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dário Couto in the 76th minute. A collision led to Buritis FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Caetano Ceresso hit a great ball. When Abelardo Damião got free in front of the goal in the 81st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Rafinha Bertassi was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Abelardo Damião struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Rafinha Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buritis FC. When the match was over Buritis FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Miraporanga throughout the match.
