The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Nóbrega hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Jânio Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarrafas SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jânio Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, True Love FC's Vito Matos got control of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vito Matos made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Luiz Fabiano Coelho sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Ronaldo Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisão de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Leopoldo da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Tarrafas SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Nóbrega took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leopoldo da Costa. Tarrafas SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Pires was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tarrafas SS! Leopoldo da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão de Andrade in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisão de Andrade to make the kick off. Hélio de Godoi charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélio de Godoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hélio de Godoi hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Vito Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Coelho in the 77th minute of play. Paulão Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Luiz Fabiano Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tarrafas SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fabiano Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Fabiano Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Matos having to interfere. When Fernando Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored True Love FC's protests and gave Fernando Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The True Love FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing True Love FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
