Erik do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Paes having to interfere. Júlio Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Veiga in the 84th minute of the match. Júlio Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Antônio Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Barbosa was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Rogério Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Júlio Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Macao SS booed when Caioca SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Antônio Veiga in the 94th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Júlio Barbosa's left hand side. The Caioca SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Caioca SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
