Ward FC's Tales Secco got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Walmir Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capane's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmir Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmiro Dayam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ward FC booed when Capane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto de Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mané Bezerra having to make a save. Mané Bezerra made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Donato Maranhense sent off a good shot on target. Capane's Mané Bezerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Capane from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Capane's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tales Secco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Ward FC booed when Capane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Bøje Rommel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká Amorim struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Delmiro Dayam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capane.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto de Castro was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Ward FC's Jacinto de Castro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mané Bezerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jacinto de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tales Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bøje Rommel struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Mané Bezerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ward FC. After having played for 68 minutes, Donato Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ward FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ward FC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Ward FC's Jacinto de Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tales Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Bezerra having to interfere. Bøje Rommel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Donato Maranhense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mané Bezerra. Capane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Maranhense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Mané Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bøje Rommel in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Ward FC's Bøje Rommel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mané Bezerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
