Cascatinha's Caio Mattos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Cascatinha from getting a goal against them. Renatinho Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Matos having to interfere. Cascatinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Renatinho Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Guerra in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vivaldo Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28thth minute of the game Oscar Guerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cabeco's Vivaldo Matos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Caio Mattos made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Samuca Sousa sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Sousa in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caio Mattos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 33 minutes, Anísio Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cascatinha and the Cabeco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes Cascatinha got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Simões. After 43 played minutes Cascatinha got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Braga.

The wind increased when Samuca Sousa made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Renatinho Braga made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cabeco's Vivaldo Matos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vivaldo Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Braga in the 58th minute of the match. If Samuca Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vivaldo Matos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho Ribeiro in the 71st minute. In the 72nd match minute, Cabeco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Cascatinha getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Renatinho Braga hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Oscar Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascatinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a rather tough play, Cabeco's Henrique Donatello got a free kick in the 89th minute. Vivaldo Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Braga in the 91st minute of the match. Oscar Guerra struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Vivaldo Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascatinha. In the 94th match minute, Cabeco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Cascatinha's Vivaldo Matos threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Renatinho Braga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Elano Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cascatinha's protests and gave Elano Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. Vivaldo Matos came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Cascatinha's Renatinho Braga. But to his dismay, Renatinho Braga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Cascatinha played a much better game than Cabeco and deserved their victory. The Cabeco players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
