Geovânio Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Itacuruba SS's zone, Albertinho Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fernando Paranaense came out of the goal and Albertinho Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Itacuruba SS getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Amauri Tróia hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Telmo Vasconcelos was the one to do the kick off. The Aquidavana FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Itacuruba SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Itacuruba SS.
