Marcinho Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Jeremias Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marcinho Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Chorona got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Marquez. After the first half Chorona were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Jeremias Ribeiro sped through Therezopolis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcinho Lopes.
