José Carlos Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes PÂNICO got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Linhares. Betão Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juarês Mineiro in the 58th minute of play forced PÂNICO's goalkeeper Betão Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Juarês Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Vasco da Gama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juarês Mineiro couldn't finish the play. Betão Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vasco da Gama. In the 70th minute, Percival Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, José Carlos Velasco put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Cássio de Andrade. The Vasco da Gama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PÂNICO's performance. The match ended with a win for PÂNICO.
