The supporters of Horizonte Futebol Clube booed when †Natus™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tostão Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dudu Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the †Natus™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudu Veloso couldn't finish the play. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for †Natus™! After 12 minutes of play, Horizonte Futebol Clube's Flavinho Vaz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laerte Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute Tiaguinho Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laerte Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tostão Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Augusto Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Sanches having to interfere. Tiaguinho Costa scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Sampaio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25thth minute of the game Tiaguinho Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horizonte Futebol Clube's Ciro Sampaio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Dudu Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Sampaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. †Natus™'s Tiaguinho Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Augusto Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Veloso in the 36th minute of the match. When †Natus™'s Dudu Veloso in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Horizonte Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Tiaguinho Costa scored 1-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Sampaio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiaguinho Costa struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ciro Sampaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for †Natus™. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tostão Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Andrézinho Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ciro Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 57 played minutes Horizonte Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Dito da Fonseca. †Natus™'s Acácio Mendes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ciro Sampaio but with some difficulty. In the 59th minute, †Natus™'s Andrézinho Faria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Tiaguinho Costa struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ciro Sampaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for †Natus™. After 64 played minutes, †Natus™'s Edmílson Leite shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ciro Sampaio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in †Natus™ reached it. Ciro Sampaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dudu Veloso in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Costa in the 76th minute of play forced Horizonte Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ciro Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dudu Veloso got free with Ciro Sampaio in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Augusto Dias struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Laerte Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horizonte Futebol Clube.
