The crowd rose to their feet as Macabuzinho's Faustão Melo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Laerte Sanches. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. In the 37th minute Fellipe Gaspar managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Chicão Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Chicão Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. †Natus™'s Laerte Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio de Alcântara in the 52nd minute of play.
