Claudinho Campidelis charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho Campidelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, Coribe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Túlio Rosado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertino Velasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Albertino Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Rosado in the 27th minute of the match. Ismael Queiroz stood somewhat misplaced when Válbson Garcia came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 29 minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Túlio Rosado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Túlio Rosado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Albertino Velasco. The goal made the score 2-1. Pedro Augusto Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Albertino Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Velasco having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Dalmo Vasconcelos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Albertino Velasco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Válbson Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Túlio Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Velasco having to interfere. Coribe's Albertino Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Rosado in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Albertino Velasco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Válbson Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ismael Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Coribe had won after a very even match.
