Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nuno Barros made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Caatingas's Nuno Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto Lira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Glauco Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Glauco Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10 minutes into the match, Glauco Pirani notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Caatingas's Pedro de Queirós. Pedro de Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 14 minutes of play, Caatingas's Giuseppe Antunes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Lira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th match minute, Lejeado SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Meira to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Caatingas's Inácio Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto Lira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Alex Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, Caatingas's Pedro de Queirós got control of the ball when Glauco Pirani tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lejeado SS's Fausto Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Toledo in the 29th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Lejeado SS got a freekick which was hit by Alex Barros. 30 minutes into the game, Nuno Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Fausto Lira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Lejeado SS's Roberto Meira got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Caatingas's João Francisco Vergílio tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Caatingas booed when Lejeado SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandinho Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fausto Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Castro in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Giuseppe Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Lira having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Glauco Pirani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Inácio Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Fausto Lira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giuseppe Antunes hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Caatingas's Jeremias Toledo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto Lira. That made the score 1-7 after 62 minutes of play. Pedro de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Pirani in the 65th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Jeremias Toledo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fausto Lira. That made the score 1-8 in the 68 minute of play. Glauco Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Lira made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Giuseppe Antunes sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Fausto Lira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lejeado SS's Fausto Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Antunes in the 77th minute of play. Lejeado SS's Ramón Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Inácio Castro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fausto Lira. Inácio Castro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-10. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giuseppe Antunes during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Caatingas getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Giuseppe Antunes hit a great ball. With a little luck, Lejeado SS's Fausto Lira got control of the ball when Inácio Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caatingas played a much better game than Lejeado SS and deserved their victory. The Lejeado SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
