The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Barreto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rafinha Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the game, Lobos da Noroeste's Leandro Jacinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafinha Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Betinho Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Lobos da Noroeste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Paraibano couldn't finish the play. Juvenal Dracena hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, Betinho Paraibano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rafinha Barreto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Leandro Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute Betinho Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafinha Barreto came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobos da Noroeste's Betinho Paraibano. But to his dismay, Betinho Paraibano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Betinho Paraibano made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes, Lobos da Noroeste's Lauro Cunha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rafinha Barreto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lobos da Noroeste reached it. Rafinha Barreto came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobos da Noroeste's Leandro Jacinto. But to his dismay, Leandro Jacinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. If Leandro Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Betinho Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rafinha Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Paraibano in the 74th minute of play forced Salgueiro SS's goalkeeper Rafinha Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Salgueiro SS getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Juvenal Dracena hit a great ball. The supporters of Salgueiro SS booed when Lobos da Noroeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Juvenal Dracena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salgueiro SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lobos da Noroeste the free kick. In the 80th minute, Juvenal Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betinho Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Rafinha Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betinho Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Barreto having to interfere. If Betinho Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salgueiro SS's Rafinha Barreto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Salgueiro SS from getting a goal against them. When Betinho Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Lobos da Noroeste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Paraibano couldn't finish the play.
