In the 15thth minute of the game Gilberto Negri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobos da Noroeste's Pedro Luís Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Gilberto Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olivenca's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Paraense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Betinho Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Daniel Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Olivenca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. When Lobos da Noroeste's Leandro Jacinto in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 36 played minutes, Olivenca's Chicão Vaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Luís Paraense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Olivenca reached it. In the 37th play minute Guto Coutinho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Luís Paraense. 1-1. Pedro Luís Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Negri in the 42nd minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Olivenca's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Jacinto came free, but Daniel Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Olivenca's Daniel Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Olivenca from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Betinho Paraibano took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Daniel Romero to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Paraibano in the 67th minute of play forced Olivenca's goalkeeper Daniel Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betinho Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guto Ramos hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The supporters of Olivenca booed when Lobos da Noroeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betinho Paraibano in the 84th minute of the match. With a little luck, Olivenca's Daniel Romero got control of the ball when Leandro Jacinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lobos da Noroeste eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
