The crowd rose to their feet as Real Coroa Leões's Vitório Viana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fábio Neves. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. 7 minutes into the match, Dorian Meira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Real Coroa Leões's Elias Antunes. Elias Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Badajoz getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Maurinho Motta hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Afonso Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dorian Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Vitório Viana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fábio Neves, 2-1. When Pedro Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Real Coroa Leões fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Botelho couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Real Coroa Leões booed when Badajoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Badajoz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Pedro Botelho scored to the left of an out of position Fábio Neves, making the score, 3-1. After 40 minutes, Maurinho Motta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Badajoz and the Real Coroa Leões players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Badajoz getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Maurinho Motta hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the game, Dorian Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Coroa Leões's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Badajoz the free kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmílson Penha made a kick off. Pedro Aguirrez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Edmílson Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Elias Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Aguirrez in the 57th minute of play. Vitório Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Vitório Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Coroa Leões's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Botelho's late challenge caught a Badajoz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Botelho hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Dorian Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vitório Viana came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Real Coroa Leões fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitório Viana couldn't finish the play. Dorian Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Dorian Meira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Badajoz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Badajoz's Fábio Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Botelho in the 88th minute of play.
