After 4 played minutes, Ibicacu SS's Tiaguinho Baiano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Neves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ibicacu SS reached it. Perivaldo de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute Diego Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Perivaldo de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Ibicacu SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perivaldo de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Mazinho Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Alan Guedes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fabiano Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Rui Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tricolor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Luiz Fabiano Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tricolor FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Rui Marques dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Umberto Soares, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo de Queiroz in the 31st minute of play forced Tricolor FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo de Queiroz in the 34th minute of the match. Luiz Fabiano Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Diego Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Messias made a kick off. Luiz Fabiano Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Messias in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Perivaldo de Queiroz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 68 minutes into the match, Diego Messias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luiz Fabiano Neves, 1-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tricolor FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Marques in the 78th minute of play forced Ibicacu SS's goalkeeper Umberto Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilton Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute Rui Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ibicacu SS's Perivaldo de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 97 minutes, Anderson Pitta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibicacu SS and the Tricolor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 98 played minutes Ibicacu SS got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Pitta.
