Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Diego Messias took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Diego Messias came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ibicacu SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Messias couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the game, one of Tricolor FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Diego Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Wilton Camargo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tricolor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibicacu SS the free kick. After 25 minutes, Diego Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibicacu SS and the Tricolor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes, Tricolor FC's Michel Gonçalves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Umberto Soares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tricolor FC reached it. Perivaldo de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fabiano Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Ibicacu SS's Umberto Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Marques in the 32nd minute of play. If Perivaldo de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ibicacu SS booed when Tricolor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Neves having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Rui Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Wilton Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tricolor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute, Anderson Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umberto Soares made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Wilton Camargo sent off a good shot on target. Armindo França's late challenge caught a Tricolor FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armindo França helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ibicacu SS getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Armindo França hit a great ball. Umberto Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton Camargo in the 61st minute. In the 71st minute, Ibicacu SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wilton Camargo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Wilton Camargo could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Umberto Soares however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicacu SS's zone, Wilton Camargo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto Soares came out of the goal and Wilton Camargo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perivaldo de Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fabiano Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Perivaldo de Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the game, Rui Marques recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Umberto Soares. Rui Marques showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Luiz Fabiano Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo de Queiroz in the 93rd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Tricolor FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ibicacu SS:s goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ibicacu SS had played much better football throughout.
