Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) Diogo Moreno made the kick off and thus started the match. Dida Simão was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Ricardinho Chaves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ricardinho Chaves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience was convinced that Diogo Moreno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Nóbrega was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Roberto Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Peixoto in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Nóbrega saved Paulinia from getting behind. 18 minutes into the game, Ibirama FC's Diogo Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto Nóbrega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lucas Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Roberto Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 31 minutes, Diogo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibirama FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geraldo Reis in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dida Simão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diogo Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Nóbrega having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Paulinia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Fernandes to maneuver through the defense.

If Diogo Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Ricardinho Chaves notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ibirama FC's Dida Simão. Dida Simão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 60 played minutes Paulinia got a freekick which was hit by Tibúrcio Fernandes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Moreno in the 60th minute of play forced Paulinia's goalkeeper Roberto Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Eugênio Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Ibirama FC's Eduardo Tavares tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Roberto Nóbrega made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tadeu Cordeiro in the 67th minute. Ricardinho Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Dida Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paulinia's goalkeeper Roberto Nóbrega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Paulinia's zone, Tadeu Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Nóbrega came out of the goal and Tadeu Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tadeu Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Paulinia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeu Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Ricardinho Chaves struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Dida Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paulinia. In the 82nd minute, Tadeu Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes Paulinia got a freekick which was hit by Digo Branco. In the 88th minute Eduardo Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tadeu Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Diogo Moreno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Paulinia could leave the field as winners, despite Ibirama FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
