Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Sassoro's Rômulo Quadros got a free kick in the 4th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Antunes during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sassoro getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Daniel Antunes hit a great ball. Daniel Antunes got his second yellow card in the match during the 8th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When Vitinho Negri fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itibira's protests and gave Vitinho Negri a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Itibira got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Negri. Oscar Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rômulo Quadros hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Oscar Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos da Costa having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Rômulo Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oscar Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Saraiva in the 37th minute of play forced Itibira's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Oscar Leal came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Itibira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Leal couldn't finish the play. Ruy Gerber's late challenge caught a Itibira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruy Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Sassoro got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Gerber. Guto Ferraz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 43rd minute. Itibira's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guto Ferraz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Matías Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sassoro's supporters rose to their feet, but Matías Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Guilherme Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Itibira booed when Sassoro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matías Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos da Costa came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Itibira's Guto Ferraz. But to his dismay, Guto Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 65th minute Oscar Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 played minutes Itibira got a freekick which was hit by Guto Ferraz. In the 67th minute of the match Naldo Rosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Guilherme Dias skillfully saved the ball. Guto Ferraz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Carlos da Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Luiz Guilherme Dias was a little too slow when Matías Saraiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Itibira's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Matías Saraiva scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Guilherme Dias, making the score, 1-2. In the 81st match minute, Itibira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Matías Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Luiz Guilherme Dias made a huge save. Bruninho Gomes hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matías Saraiva in the 87th minute. José Carlos da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Ferraz in the 89th minute of play. If Matías Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sassoro's José Carlos da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Leal in the 93rd minute of play. Oscar Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos da Costa having to interfere. Chants of Sassoro echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Itibira had held the ball for most of the match.
