Alfredo Rezende's late challenge caught a Arrinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdir Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Fantini in the 86th minute of play. Eugênio Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Valdir Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Arrinha had played much better football throughout.
