After 13 minutes of play, Apuarema Junior's Léo Dracena made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edinho Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the game, Apuarema Junior's Fernandinho Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edinho Duarte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Wanderson Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Basílio Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Duarte having to interfere. Nelson Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Paiva hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Edinho Duarte came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Apuarema Junior's Basílio Teixeira. But to his dismay, Basílio Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Edinho Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Tande in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Guilhermino AD getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Luís Guilherme Pires hit a great ball. When Basílio Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Apuarema Junior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Teixeira couldn't finish the play. If Basílio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edinho Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Apuarema Junior were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Wanderson Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Agostinho Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Guilhermino AD's José Cavalcante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Agostinho Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Basílio Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Nelson Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apuarema Junior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basílio Teixeira got free with Edinho Duarte in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edinho Duarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelson Tande went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Guilhermino AD's Edinho Duarte got control of the ball when Basílio Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edinho Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basílio Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Basílio Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edinho Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Tande in the 90th minute of play forced Guilhermino AD's goalkeeper Edinho Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nelson Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Pedro Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
